Enlisted update sends you to the tractor factory of Stalingrad
12/15/2022 - Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment today introduced the latest update for Enlisted. The update, titled "High Caliber", introduces large caliber machine guns, a completely new combat zone, the Stalingrad tractor plant, and smoke grenades.
Phosphorus grenades, introduced in the Pacific campaign in the last update, are now also available in the "Battle of Tunisia" and the "Normandy Invasion". With all these new features, the already bombastic and realistic battles get even closer to the real legendary battles of World War II.
With the new update, sappers in machine gun squads will be able to use .50 caliber heavy machine guns capable of penetrating multiple enemy soldiers, ripping off the wings of aircraft, and even penetrating the armor of light tanks and SPAAGs. All playable nations in the game will receive one of these machine guns: The US Army will use the legendary M2 Browning, the Japanese the powerful Type 93, the Germans will bring an air-launched MG-131 into action, and Soviet soldiers will wear down the enemy with the DShK.
"We are very excited to offer players even more realism and immersion with the 'High Caliber' update," said Sergey Kolganov, Game Director of Enlisted."These machine guns bring a whole new level of strategy to the game and we can't wait to see how players use them on the battlefield."
The Stalingrad Tractor Plant initially produced tractors, but when the war began, the plant switched to producing tanks. The STW continued to work during the siege of the city, actively repairing damaged tanks, and its workers directly participated in the defensive battles in the area - and this is exactly what Enlisted recreates. The graphics and layout are based on real archive photos and videos.
The STW was able to switch to a full production cycle and supply the production lines with all the necessary parts for tank construction. As a player you can go through different factory halls specialized for different purposes: Foundry, Production, and even Assembly Lines, where unfinished T-34s are still standing. Meanwhile, outside the factory, winter is still harsh. Winter camouflage is very useful here (winter clothes for soldiers and white paint for tanks are already available via customization).
The update also brings numerous new or upgraded pieces of equipment, such as the SIG 1920 submachine gun, the Type Ko rifle or the MG 15 with a special drum double magazine with a capacity of 75 rounds, as well as the RPD-44 machine gun prototype. New vehicles include a modification of the M3 Stuart with a flamethrower in place of the nose MG, which is ideal for fending off enemy infantry approaching from the front.
