Blizzard Entertainment has released the Mid-Season Update for Overwatch 2 Season 11. This update brings a variety of new content and events to the game that will excite fans. These include a Transformers event, the return of the Summer Games and the first Mythic weapon skin.

Transformers event

Transformers fans can look forward to special hero packs featuring characters such as Reinhardt as Optimus Prime and Ramattra as Megatron. With the Mega Pack, players can unlock the entire collection and showcase legendary Transformers collectibles. There are also new player icons, name cards and titles to show which side you are on in the epic battle between Autobots and Decepticons.

Summer Games 2024

The 2024 Summer Games are back, bringing back popular game modes such as Lúcioball and Winston's Beach Volleyball. Players can score goals and compete against each other in action-packed matches. New lifeguard skins for characters such as Roadhog, Lifeweaver and Mercy will be available from July 30, adding a summery flair to the game. The Summer Games also feature challenges that unlock new player icons, sprays and bonus XP. However, these events and rewards are only available until July 29.

From July 15 to 17, the "Quick Find: Hacked" event is back. In this mode, players can select passive upgrades for their heroes that can have a decisive influence on the course of a match. Tanks, damage and support heroes each have different options to improve their abilities in battle. These upgrades can be selected or changed at the start of each match, during revives and hero changes.

First mythic weapon skin

The mythic store presents its first mythic weapon skin: Reinhardt's weapon skin "Bound Demon". This impressive flaming hammer offers spectacular visual effects with every elimination and responds to player gameplay. The skin can be unlocked through Mythic Prisms from the Premium Battle Pass. Alternatively, the mythical hero skin "Empress of Calamity" is also available for Ashe.
