World of Tanks, one of the most popular free-to-play tank MMOs, is commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe with an extensive event. From May 6 to 13, all kinds of special content and activities will be available. The focus is on a new PvE mission, but a livestream from the renowned Tank Museum as well as unique rewards and discounts will also enrich the game.

"Operation Postman" - The new PvE mission

The centerpiece of the event is the new PvE mission "Operation Postman". Here, players take on the role of an elite Allied tank commander in the final days of the Second World War. The aim is to deliver an important message behind enemy lines to inform the Allied troops that the war is over.

Equipped with a camouflaged M24 Chaffee, players cross dangerous areas, supported by an international tank crew with special skills. These include "Scout Around", which reconnoiters enemy positions, and "False Order" to deceive patrols. Dense minefields, enemy bases and tactical challenges make the mission an exciting experience. Those who successfully master the task can add the M24 Chaffee to their permanent collection.

Livestream from the Tank Museum

Another highlight of the event is the livestream on May 10 at 15:00 UTC. Together with the Tank Museum in Bovington, UK, Wargaming is presenting a special commemorative event. The stream will be hosted by Richard Cutland, tank regiment veteran and Head of Military Relations, and Nik Wyness, Head of Marketing and Engagement at the museum.

The livestream will focus on the historical significance of VE Day, key stages of the Second World War and the technological development of tanks. In addition, viewers can receive exclusive Mystery Drops on Twitch during the stream - including premium vehicles and other rewards.
