Historical battle of Rzhev and visual improvements in the new update

06/20/2024 - The new update for the online military shooter Enlisted, "Rzhev", brings extensive graphical improvements, new missions, weapons and vehicles and takes players to the scene of the Battle of Rzhev.
Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment have released the extensive update "Rzhev" for their online military shooter Enlisted. This update takes players to the historical locations of the Battle of Rzhev, which took place between 1942 and 1943 and is compared to the Battle of Stalingrad due to its intensity.
The Battle of Rzhev consisted of several military operations by the Red Army against the German troops threatening Moscow. Players can now visit some of Rzhev's most iconic locations, including the cathedral, the town hall, the central market and the cliffs on the left bank of the Volga. Battles also take place in the industrial areas and the ruins of the suburb of Teterino.
The "Rzhev" update brings numerous new or improved weapons and military vehicles to the game. These include the American T20 rifle, the Japanese KE-7 machine gun, the Soviet KV-2 tank (1940) and the German 8.8 cm Flak-37-Sfl tank destroyer. Also newly added is the ability for radio operator squads to call in rocket artillery attacks, with the first units to use this capability being the Soviet 26th Signal Battalion of the Soviet Guard and the German 332 Infantry Regiment.
A significant part of the update is the improved graphics through "Global Illumination" technology on PC and PlayStation 5. This technology improves light propagation and makes the game even more visually appealing without affecting performance. Newly added specular lighting, an enlarged display area and detailed reflections contribute to a more realistic gaming experience.
The update also includes new missions set in different regions such as Normandy and the Pacific. These expansions offer new challenges and tactical possibilities.
