Summer event: The beach returns with new rewards

06/25/2024 - Summer is back in RuneScape, and with it the popular beach event. Players can look forward to new rewards, activities and summer adventures.

Summer is here and RuneScape is once again transforming the Lumbridge Crater into a seasonal oasis. Until July 22, players can train their skills or simply enjoy the sun while collecting additional rewards. New this year include a customization for the Skeleton Warrior Summon and a casual beach costume, available in the store for 150 RuneCoins each.

New rewards and improvements

This year's highlight is the boss pet Clawdie, which is available as loot from Clawdia. In addition, many improvements have been made to the game experience, such as longer AFK timers for certain activities and the ability to obtain skill pets while training on the beach.

Game Experience Improvements

Improvements include longer AFK times for activities such as Bodybuilder Training, Sandcastle Building, Duck Fishing, Coconut Throwing Shack and Barbecue Party. These activities now also display a header bar showing the remaining time without clicks.

Tradable beach tokens

Also new is that all beach tokens are now tradable in the Grand Market Hall, including tokens for Candy Cane, Phoebe Pet, Frisbee, Throwing Starfish, Bucket Hat, Rest Buried in Sand, Clawdia Hat, Dragon Float Tire and Snorkel.

Further updates and hotfixes

In addition to the beach event, further corrections and improvements have also been implemented in the game. Aura customizations should no longer be affected by holstering weapons, and certain beach skill activities now offer a higher chance of special rewards. The existing rewards have also been expanded and improved.

Treasure Hunter Calendar

The Treasure Hunter Calendar announces the next events: Mysteria will run from June 25-26, with treasure hunting activities rotating, and Chaos Cauldron will take place from June 27-July 1, where players can collect potions and win new, summer-themed prizes.

What is the Beach Event in RuneScape?
The Beach Event is an annual summer event in RuneScape where the Lumbridge Crater is transformed into a beach oasis. Players can train their skills and receive special rewards.
