This week, RuneScape is focusing on numerous bug fixes and optimizations to ensure smoother gameplay. In addition to the technical adjustments, changes to the Ironman status have also been introduced to offer players more flexibility and security.

Changes for Ironman players

A central innovation concerns the Ironman mode. Players who previously wanted to keep their Ironman status permanently can now downgrade it - but only if their account is protected by a Jagex account. In addition, there is an optional waiting period of 90 days, which replaces the previous permanent setting. This change offers more security and protects against unwanted adjustments by third parties.

Group Ironman players can look forward to new milestone announcements and notifications that highlight personal best times and progress within the group, among other things.

Important bug fixes and updates

The developers have fixed a number of bugs and made minor improvements. These include

• Corrections to text and dialog in various adventures such as "Among the Sands of Scabaras".
• Adjustments to animations and abilities to ensure a more consistent gameplay experience.
• Improved security measures for features such as the action bar and account access.

Additionally, changes have been made to the user interface to improve readability and navigation.

Community events and anniversaries

In addition to the technical updates, several community events are taking place this week. The 10th anniversary of the "Pink Skirts" community will be highlighted, which will be celebrated with special boss battles and events. Among other things, players can look forward to a skill event on the anniversary island and a costume parade.

The treasure hunter calendar also brings new challenges. From January 23 to 27, players can unlock exclusive rewards and skill customizations during dungeon exploration.
