RuneScape is an online role-playing game for thousands of players (MMORPG), and the name of a virtual world where you can defeat monsters, complete adventures and find treasures. RuneScape is more than just a game, it is a constantly evolving world with amazing game depth and flexibility. Players control a character that can be trained to become more talented and powerful. However, one can also choose not to improve their skills at all, but instead become a merchant who conducts business in RuneScape's many marketplaces. None of the actions in RuneScape are predetermined, it's entirely up to you which direction you want to take.

When you take your first steps into RuneScape, you may not know where to start. The world of RuneScape is vast and can be overwhelming, so information and advice are invaluable.

Fortunately, there are many people in Lumbridge who are willing to help. One of them is the Lumbridge Advisor, who is second to none in his field. You should pay him a visit if you want to know more about the geography and history of the place.

Lumbridge also boasts a well-rehearsed combat training team: three passionate fighters who will share their knowledge with you and let you train on their dummies. As they will tell you themselves, the combat training ground is no substitute for real combat experience. The XP you earn there is much less than the XP you get for fighting a real, live opponent. The combat instructors are located north of Lumbridge Castle.
