Warner Bros. Games has released a new trailer for MultiVersus today, showing gameplay of Agent Smith, the antagonist from the popular movie series "The Matrix", for the first time. Agent Smith will join the game on July 8th as part of the first season.

Taking on the role of a hand-to-hand combat character, Agent Smith offers an impressive array of abilities befitting his role as defender of the Matrix. With blistering speed, precise attacks and the ability to teleport over short distances, he brings a new dynamic to the game. The trailer reveals how Agent Smith uses his hand-to-hand combat skills and shooting abilities to assert himself amidst the turmoil and call for support from other agents.

Players can unlock Agent Smith as a free playable fighter starting July 8 by participating in the "Defeat Rifts and get Agent Smith for free!" event. This event runs throughout the season and offers the opportunity to complete boss nodes in PvE Rifts to earn rewards.

MultiVersus, developed by Player First Games, is available as a free download for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). The game supports full cross-play and cross-progression, allowing players to play and save progress across platforms.
