On July 22, 2024, RuneScape will introduce its first boss dungeon, the Sanctum of Rebirth. This new update promises exciting challenges and valuable rewards for players who venture into the depths of the underworld.

A week earlier, on July 15, 2024, new Hard and Elite Underworld Tasks will be available to prepare players for the upcoming dungeon. These tasks provide an ideal opportunity to prepare for the upcoming battles and hone necessary skills.

Journey to the Sanctum of Rebirth

The Sanctum of Rebirth, once a sacred temple under the rule of Amascut and her creatures, is now the scene of intense boss battles. Players must find the entrance and face the powerful soul exterminators Vermyx, Kezalam and a mysterious third boss. Unlike traditional dungeons, there are no other monsters in the Sanctum - players fight the bosses directly, either alone or with up to three friends.

Unique combat mechanics

The dungeon offers two modes: normal mode with a resurrection mechanic and hard mode for experienced players. If a player dies in normal mode, they are immediately resurrected, but at a reduced power level to maintain the challenge. This mechanic allows players to practice their techniques and continuously improve.

Rewards and discoveries

The rewards in the Sanctum of Rebirth are varied and powerful. Players can obtain level 95 two-handed magic weapons and other valuable items. In hard mode, the chances of rare rewards increase and there are exclusive items that can only be obtained there. Each boss encounter brings rewards, and those who defeat all three bosses will gain access to an additional completion loot list.
