A new era for Battlegrounds enthusiasts is unfolding at the heart of the digital inn, as the seventh season announces its arrival with a wealth of updates and a magical new game mode. The new mode, Battlegrounds: Duos, will allow players to compete in teams of two against other duos, an innovation that has been eagerly anticipated since it was first unveiled at BlizzCon. The season, which begins on April 16, promises a collaborative experience alongside the traditional solo game mode, taking the Battleground to a new level.

With the introduction of the new season, Battleground ratings will be reset and Battleground quests will bid farewell to the inn, while inn spells will remain. These changes apply to both Classic Battlegrounds and Battlegrounds: Duos, giving players a variety of play styles.

The new additions include specific heroes and minions for Duos mode, enriching gameplay and requiring new strategies. Four new heroes, sixteen minions and three inn spells exclusively available in Duos mode are waiting to be discovered by players. Some of these characters have already been introduced at BlizzCon, while others are completely new and promise a unique gaming experience.

But it's not just Duos mode that's giving players something to look forward to. Season 7 brings a major update to the classic Battlegrounds, including 50 new minions, returning favorites, and new inn spells. Other gameplay adjustments, including revisions to wildlife, dragons and mechs, as well as balancing changes, help to enhance the gameplay experience.

In addition to these additions, a packed calendar of reveals and events will keep the community on their toes until the update is released on April 16. The highlight will be the "Grab a Friend" event the day before the patch, where players can compete with their duos partners in live streams.
