Krafton releases new version 2.2
09/14/2022 - Tomorrow, PUBG MOBILE will release the new update version 2.2, which will allow players to explore the tropics with the new map Nusa, fight in new locations in an updated map, experience the exciting thematic game mode Gear Front Mode, as well as unlock and use a number of new cosmetics as part of Cycle 3 Season 8 and Royale Pass Month 15.
Version 2.2 brings a brand new map for players to romp, explore and fight on! Nusa is the new 1×1 km tourist island map in the tropics. It is packed with supplies so players can jump right into exciting battles! Since the map is small, battles are over much faster than on maps like Erangel or Livik, which means the game is fast-paced and exciting. In addition to the gunfights, Nusa is an island with many beautiful views and vistas. Players preparing for their next shootout can pause and enjoy the beauty - but not for too long!
Nusa also introduces the new Super Recall mechanic, which allows players who are eliminated early to re-enter the game if they still have surviving teammates. Players who play alone will be automatically revived. There are many new ways to get around quickly on the new map, from ziplines all over the map to an elevator in the multi-story Telepak Town Apartment. Nusa also features new weapons in the form of the tactical crossbow and NS2000 shotgun. Players will also be able to drive around on the new Quad, a maneuverable 2-seater vehicle with excellent stability.
The 2.2 update of PUBG MOBILE also brings a number of changes for Erangel. For one, the hospital and Mylta Power structures have been updated to make combat and hunting for supplies easier.
Erangel gets two new ports, one southwest of the farm and one south of the Sosnovka military base. There are also cosmetic improvements to the ferry dock. There is also a new rainbow weather effect, a flash store that randomly appears in Erangel, gas stations where players can refuel their vehicles, a bike shed, and new targeted supply crates with three different crate types: Medicine, Tokens and Military Supplies.
PUBG MOBILE 's 2.2 update also adds the new "Gear Front Mode," which will launch soon! In this exciting game mode, players will battle on Erangel, Livik, and Nusa with a new set of skills that allow for faster gunfights, faster map traversal, and more frequent enemy encounters. With skills such as Playzone Analysis, Trace, and Supply Scan, it becomes much easier to find the nearest playzone, locate enemies, or locate supplies. The use of vehicle air drops gives players even more ways to traverse the map, and skills like Sliding Doll and Healing Smoke change the dynamics of firefights when used properly.
Players will also be able to purchase a vehicle radar scan in the store, which will help them find vehicles faster. For those who prefer to travel on foot, Stalber now has cable cars that make it easier to move around the area. The new area Strange Town has also been added. It is located near Stalber and the West Coast and features hot air balloons that players can use to escape quickly.
PUBG MOBILE update 2.2 kicks off Cycle 3 Season 8, which begins on September 20, with new Legendary items, updates to Ace Tier, including titles and sub-ranks, and improvements to the presentation of Tier badges and the badge page.
New content is also coming as part of Month 15 of Royale Pass: Razzle Dazzle, which begins on September 20 with new social benefits for RP players, updated RP Favor Boxes, and much more! Other updates include improvements to the RP notification system and a system that flags teammates when they appear in the In-Match Airplane Ranking.
PUBG MOBILE update 2.2 also signals changes for PUBG MOBILE as the game becomes part of the Level Infinite family. Level Infinite is a global gaming brand dedicated to delivering high-quality and engaging interactive entertainment experiences to a worldwide audience, wherever and however they choose to play. The new branding of LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, the co-developer of PUBG MOBILE alongside KRAFTON, Inc. will also be integrated into PUBG MOBILE. Users will now see Level Infinite and LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS logos when they launch the game. PUBG MOBILE has also been updated with a number of other improvements, including visual enhancements, UI upgrades, and more.
