Info about the latest update to version 19.1
08/03/2022 - KRAFTON today announced Update 19.1, the next major content update for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. In the update, which will be released on August 10 for PC and August 18 for consoles, players will be able to try out the new MP9 weapon, race across the streets in the Pillar Security car with sirens wailing, and scan for enemies.
As part of the collaboration between PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and Assassins Creed, players can discover a variety of themed content and items on the Haven map, now available for the first time since Season 16. Abstergo Industries has taken over one of the map's main buildings, complete with a hidden Animus Machine and strategically placed "Leap of Faith" ledges on the building's roof. In addition, the collaboration allows players to earn themed cosmetic rewards during gameplay, including new costumes, bag skins, a parachute skin, an emote, and more.
Below is a detailed overview of all the customizations that will be introduced with Update 19.1.
New items
MP9: Available on the Deston map, the MP9 is the first fully automatic SMG that uses the widely available and practical 9mm ammunition. It is suitable for players who like weapons like the P90, but prefer something handier with plenty of ammo. Although it has a slightly lower effective range, rate of fire, and damage than the P90, it is an excellent alternative for players who want more options similar to the P90.
Folded Shield: For many BATTLEGROUNDS players, hitting enemies and not having proper cover has been a problem for years. Therefore, in 19.1 there will be a new item that fixes this very problem. The folded shield, which can be found on every map, allows players to have mobile cover that can be easily carried, set up, and hidden at will. The shield has a strength of 1500 HP and must be destroyed by enemies before the player behind it can be hit.
Blue Chip Detector: This new tactical equipment uses the player's primary weapon slot and allows them to search for enemies within 100 meters of their character. The nearest 12 enemies are displayed as dots on the map. Their position is adjusted each time the screen is refreshed, and the detector only plays sounds audible to the user when it detects enemy movement. The blue chip detector even detects height differences and informs the player whether the pursued target is above or below them.
New Vehicle - Pillar Security Car: With a top speed of 130 km/h and controllable headlights as well as sirens, this new vehicle allows players to recreate fast-paced chase scenes from movies on the Deston map. Also, high-end equipment can be found in the trunk of the vehicle. So, if players see a Pillar Security Car nearby, they should definitely get in to get a bonus.
In addition, Update 19.1 introduces adjustments to the spawn rate of items on Sanhok, bug fixes when switching bots from water to land, improvements to base and AI training, and the new leaderboard and survivor pass for Season 19.
D/A/CH Championship 2022
Starting on August 06, the strongest PUBG teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will meet in the finals of the D/A/CH Championship 2022. Over four days and 20 matches, the 16 final teams will fight for a prize of 5,000 euros. The winner will also receive a wildcard and thus the opportunity to participate directly in the PUBG Continental Series 7 playoffs.
Discord Duel Royale - Deston
Fans are invited to participate in the Discord Duel Royale. This is a five-day Squad Cup that will be held on the European Discord channels of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. The tournament, which will be open to players from France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, will kick off with a qualifying day for each of the participating regions. The top four teams from each qualifying day will then move on to the final on September 3, where they will compete for a prize purse of 2,000 euros. The runners-up will receive 1200 euros and 800 euros respectively.
