Players must achieve the objectives set by Genghis Khan in order to progress during the event. Completing these tasks is rewarded with Huizi, the special currency of the event. This is used to support the Khan's emissaries, who travel in stages from one yurt to the next. How far these envoys travel depends on the amount of huizi the players provide them. The emissaries show their gratitude by providing rewards, including a chance to win a daily special reward.

The Mongol Event introduces a new mechanic that reduces bad luck in winning the daily special. Envoys can deliver multiple rewards, and as the game progresses, the chance of winning the daily offer increases, which guarantees a big win.

Once players have completed 30 steps, the Grand Prize awaits them: the "Yurt of Khan" evolution token. These tokens are used to build the main reward of the Mongol Event: The Yurt of the Khan. This impressive nomadic palace is an evolving building that provides both workers and a random number of research points. The Khan's Yurt can be upgraded to level 40, and at levels one through ten, the building's appearance undergoes unique changes.

As players progress through the quest line, they can also enlist the services of Genghis Khan himself, as a mercenary commander. The powerful leader can be used in battle to summon Kheshig Riders, a group of highly specialized archers. With over 120 quests, as well as occasional 'free currency' quests, players have a lot to do and a very demanding leader to please!
