PUBG Nations Cup 2022 starts tomorrow - prize pool of more than $500,000
06/15/2022 - On June 16, KRAFTON, inc. will open the PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand, an international competition that will bring together 16 of the best PUBG Esports teams from around the world to compete for the championship title.A total of 20 matches will be played between June 16 and 19 at TRUE ICON Hall in ICONSIAM Mall.
The matches start daily at 13:00 CEST and can be watched live from home via PUBG Twitch or PUBG Esports YouTube. Last held in 2019, the PNC has proven incredibly popular with players and fans alike. KRAFTON is therefore excited to bring back this acclaimed tournament format. It is also the first event since the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) in November 2019 to be held in front of a live audience again.
Over the course of PNC 2022, a total of 64 players from 16 countries will face off across four regions:
- Europe (United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, Turkey)
- Americas (United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina)
- Asia-Pacific (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia)
- Asia (Korea, China, Japan, Chinese Taipei).
There will be five matches per day with a total of 20 matches on Erangel and Miramar. In this, PNC 2022 will be played according to the "points rule", combining elimination and placement points. The team that has earned the most total points after 20 matches will be crowned the winner of PNC 2022.
The Pick'Em Challenge is also making a comeback, with PC and console players able to purchase event-related items in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS until June 29. In the course of the event, a media day was held today in which players shared their excitement and goals for the upcoming tournament.
