1v1 Arena is available in training mode with update 17.2
05/04/2022 - With update 17.2 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, coming May 11 for PC and May 19 for consoles, players will finally be able to show who`s the best on the team with the new 1v1 Arena in Training Mode. In addition to these changes, players will find adjustments to the spotting scope, as well as balance updates to the 5.56mm scoped self-loading rifle and the mortar.
1v1 Arena in Training Mode:
The 1v1 Arena has been completed and is now available in Training Mode to allow all kinds of combat training in an exciting 1v1 environment. Players can engage in 1v1 rounds with an opposing player or watch intense battles and find out who is really the best in the team.
Scope Update:
The latest patch notes indicated that there will be some major and minor changes to the scope soon. The scope and its automatic functions for marking and tracking enemies continue to be overpowered and cause players more stress than pleasure. For this reason, the tracking range of enemies has been reduced from 1000m to 600m and the white passive marker will no longer appear automatically in ADS mode. The full breakdown of changes to the scope can be found in the patch notes.
Weapon Balance:
Update 17.2 introduces changes to the 5.56mm DMRs - specifically the MK12 and Mini14. After the damage adjustment, players continued to find the MK12 difficult to handle. As a result, recoil recovery has been improved to match the Mini14`s stability. The Mini14`s damage was also increased from 47 to 48. After introducing the mortar, which is only available in Taego, the team gathered valuable player feedback and decided to make changes to unlock the weapon`s hidden potential. The mortar can now be used on any terrain except in water and when the angle of deployment is not secured. The weapon will also be available on all maps except Haven in normal matches and now occupies the inventory slot.
Players who want to try out the new content can do so today on the PC test server.
