August update including new class
08/17/2023 - On August 16, Lost Ark's August update went live. The new update introduces the Air Dancer class, as well as a new Legion raid, Guardian raid, progression events, balance overhaul, QoL improvements, and more. Also, the winners of the Maykoko Festival emote design contest will appear in the game.
Air dancer advanced class
The Air Dancer is the second advanced specialist class. With the power of mystical illusion, she can manipulate the weather to trigger destructive effects on the battlefield, or destroy enemies with her umbrella. The air dancer's specialty is solar rain: The Sun Rain's raindrop meter increases when the Air Dancer successfully hits enemies with skills. Sun Rain can be used when the gauge is filled and supports both defense and attack.
Akkan Legion Raid
Ethanopolis is slowly flooded by water with the power of disease. The souls of the dead still wander the world of the living, bound by Akkan's spell. Akkan must be stopped before all of Arkesia succumbs to his terrible rot. Players can travel to Arthetine to defeat the commander of the Plague Legion in a new eight-player raid. The normal and hard versions of the Legion raid now appear, both with their own item level requirements.
Sonavel Guardian Raid
Levanos, the Elemental King, has abandoned his mission to protect nature and chosen chaos instead. This has transformed him into Sonavel. Sonavel must be defeated before he destroys all that he once protected. Players can face Sonavel in a new Guardian Raid that requires item level 1580
Super Mokoko Express event, support for fighting style settings, and South Vern power pass.
The August update introduces a Southern Powerpass to the event that players can use until November 15, 2023. The power pass is just what players need to participate in the Super Mokoko Express event: They can select one of their characters between item level 1415 and 1540, who will then receive discounted reinforcement rates and collect reinforcement materials faster to quickly level up to item level 1540 and higher. The Super Mokoko Express event includes an engraving support system where players can select five engravings that take effect at level 3 during the event. There is also new support for battle style settings for players to more easily set skills and engravings and receive item support for accessories and skill stones.
