February update brings wild soul, events and new group policies

02/18/2025 - The February update of Lost Ark introduces the new Wild Soul class and brings back several progression events. In addition, the Mokoko training camp will be reactivated to make it easier for new and returning players to get started. At the same time, there are adjustments to the group search guidelines to prevent so-called "bussing".
New Wild Soul class and progression events
The upcoming February update will introduce the new Wild Soul class. This will be accompanied by several progression events to make it easier to get started. These include a South Kurzan power pass, the Mokoko Express event and another, as yet unspecified event to support advanced crafting. These measures are intended to make it easier for both new and returning players to get started.
In addition, the Mokoko Training Camp event will once again be integrated into the game. It is aimed at players who have not logged in in the last 60 days or have created a new account during this time and are below item level 1670. The event offers training opportunities to familiarize yourself with raids and will be active for several months. Based on the feedback received so far, we are currently evaluating whether this system can be integrated into the game in the long term.
Players can also expect new rewards, including the title of "Mokoko Legion Commander" and other adjustments to the reward structure. While the event will not include a Relic Engraving Chest, this will be added elsewhere in the February update.
Adjustments to the group search guidelines
With the reintroduction of the Mokoko training camp, changes will also be made to the group search guidelines. Bussing, where high-level players help others with content in exchange for payment, will no longer be allowed. The aim of this measure is to provide a better group experience for new and returning players and to focus more on learning together.
During a two-week transition period starting February 18, the following penalties will apply for violations:
- First offense: 15-minute suspension as a warning
- Further offenses: Penalties start at one day and can increase to one month
After the transition period, penalties start directly with a 1-day suspension and increase for repeated violations. Spam advertising in the chat for bussing services will also be punished accordingly.
In addition, there is another warning against accepting unauthorized gold or item transfers. As gold often comes from untraceable sources, it can be removed and, in case of doubt, the players concerned must provide proof of their innocence themselves. Pilot services - i.e. playing on someone else's account - remain a serious offense that is punishable by permanent bans.
