08/07/2024 - Lost Ark has released the third part of the roadmap for 2024. Players can look forward to numerous exciting updates, including the introduction of class 4, new dungeons and significant comfort improvements. However, there will also be delays to some planned features.
Lost Ark has revealed the third part of its roadmap for 2024. This new roadmap provides a comprehensive overview of the planned content and changes that will be introduced to Arkesia in the coming months. Associate Franchise Leader Matthew Huston, Editorial Director Henry Stelter and Community Manager Roxanne Sabo presented the details in a video update.
August update: Calm before the storm
In August, players can look forward to the introduction of Indigo Island, located off the coast of the continent of Kurzan. This island offers an impressive underwater landscape and is accessible from item level 1600. Players can complete a quest here to enter the single-player dungeon "Underwater Cave" and collect reward tokens that can be exchanged for progression materials.
In addition, the Maharaka Festival will continue with new summer events. However, a major new feature, the Stylebook feature, which allows players to upload their favorite character customizations and be inspired by other players' outfits, had to be postponed. Originally planned for the August update, the Stylebook feature will be released at a later date as the team is still finalizing it.
Other convenience improvements include the new "Weekly Purge" mission system for Chaos Dungeons and the introduction of the Bound Gold system. The latter allows players to earn additional gold through in-game activities that can be used for progression systems. In addition, the difficulty levels in the Echidna Raid will be adjusted to allow more players to complete it.
September: North Kurzan and Class 4
In September, the new continent of North Kurzan will be introduced, where players can experience the next phase of the battle against the Demon Legion and the Chaos Guardians. North Kurzan is accessible for characters from item level 1600 and offers new quests, bosses and trophies.
The highlight of the September update is the introduction of Class 4, which brings with it a host of new content and systems, including new dungeons, relic gear and a revamped accessory system. The Behemoth Raid will also be released, where 16 players can battle a giant dragon to earn Class 4 materials and weapon transcendence.
October and beyond: New raids and hyper awakening
In October, the Aegir Raid will take center stage, pitting players against Akkan and Aegir. This raid offers ancient class 4 equipment that can be further improved. In addition, the difficulty level of the Thaemine Raid - Number One will be removed.
The Hyper Awakening skills, which can be acquired as a reward for completing quests, are planned for November. These new skills are intended to complement the game balance between basic and awakening skills.
Finally, new companion skills will be introduced in November to provide players with additional support.
Further details and adjustments
In addition to the major updates in August, September and October, smaller adjustments and improvements will be made on an ongoing basis. For example, the combat level limit will be raised from 60 to 70 and the squad level limit from 300 to 400. Class 4 jewels will be introduced and the Ark bonus system will be further expanded.
Players can look forward to more detailed information and release notes in the coming weeks detailing all upcoming changes and new content.
