Amazon Games and Smilegate publish Lost Ark on February 11
12/14/2021 - Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG announced today that their MMOARPG Lost Ark will be released on Steam for PC on February 11, 2022. Owners of a Pioneer Pack can dive into Lost Ark with a bit of a head start as early as February 8.
Lost Ark is a free-to-play online game from Seoul-based Smilegate RPG, which already boasts millions of active players in South Korea, Russia and Japan. During the Game Awards, a new gameplay trailer was revealed. It represents the finale of the "Heroes of Arkesia" series on YouTube and shows in-game scenes full of dynamic battles and stunning environments.
In Lost Ark, players set out on an odyssey in search of the eponymous lost ark, traveling an immersive and multi-layered world and discovering new wonders at every turn, in every city, castle and catacomb. The game features 15 different hero classes with unique combinations of customizable skills based on the Tripod skill system. The system allows choosing and improving properties of combat skills once they reach a certain level. Players descend into chaos dungeons, compete in PvP duels, show what they are capable of in epic quests, and face demonic legions to regain the eternal power and light of the lost Ark.
"We are excited to bring Lost Ark to players in new regions. With the announcement of the release date, we are one step closer to the moment when they can finally experience the immersive world and breathtaking combat for themselves," said Christoph Hartmann, vice president of Amazon Games. "In February, players will be able to immerse themselves in the fantastic world of Arkesia for the first time and create their very own adventure."
Lost Ark is acclaimed for its unique mix of MMO and ARPG, beautiful graphics, gripping hack-and-slash gameplay and its wide range of different game modes. The mind-blowing game has already won a number of awards, including the Presidential Prize at the 2019 Korea Game Awards. Amazon Games is now releasing Lost Ark for the first time in Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand.
