Steel gladiators enter the arena of Crossout
02/19/2022 - Targem Games and Gaijin Entertainment announced the release of the "Steel Gladiators" content update for the post-apocalyptic online action game Crossout. The game has been expanded to include the new limited-time competitive mode "Arena" and the new Battle Pass season has begun, bringing new weapons and vehicle parts to Crossout.
"Arena" offers fast and furious "3 vs. 3" battles in special compact arenas, where a team must win three rounds to achieve victory. At the beginning of each new round, players can switch armored vehicles to adapt to the enemy`s tactics. There are two versions of the arena: standard and scoring. In the latter, players move up the leaderboards with each victory and can advance to a higher league. For reaching the "Golden", "Silver" and "Bronze" leagues, players receive corresponding backgrounds and emblems for profile customization, as well as other special rewards. Arena mode is available through March 20.
The new Battle Pass season of "Steel Gladiators" offers players the opportunity to unlock 54 rewards. There are cool new vehicle parts, such as the Adron cabin, which was originally intended for space shuttles but has proven to be very useful for armored vehicles in the post-apocalyptic world. The most interesting new weapon system is probably the "SD-15 Vulture" sabotage drone. After being launched in a certain area, the drone hovers in the air and activates its own invisibility module. When an enemy appears nearby, the "Vulture" clings to its important parts to destroy them, and then explodes.
Last but not least, there is a new relic weapon in Crossout, the brutal disc launcher "Ripper". It shoots circular saw blades that temporarily get stuck in objects in the environment and cause increased impact damage. It`s a great way to set traps! Like all other relic weapons, the "Ripper" can only be made at the Engineers` "Secret Workshop" workbench.
