Wasteland Hockey and more: Highlights of the Echoes of War update

Crossout

08/22/2024 - The new update "Echoes of War" brings back exciting events and well-known modes from August 22 to September 25, including "Dronapocalypse" and the "Steel Championship". Wasteland Hockey is also celebrating its premiere.

With the new "Echoes of War" update, the developers have announced a series of exciting events and the return of popular game modes. The update is available from August 22 to September 25 and offers interesting challenges for both newcomers and experienced players.

New event: "Echoes of War"

The centerpiece of the update is the "Echoes of War" event, which runs until September 25. Players can collect event experience points by completing special challenges to unlock different levels and their rewards. These include faction vouchers, in-game coins, stickers and various containers. While basic rewards are available to all players, additional rewards are only available to those who purchase the "Echoes of War" package (Standard or Deluxe). The Deluxe Edition also offers the instant unlock of 10 levels as well as additional in-game coins and decorations.

Return of the popular modes

In addition to the new event, popular modes are also returning. From August 22 to 28, players can once again plunge into the "Dronapocalypse". In this team PvP mode, players must destroy enemy Leviathans in pre-built drone vehicles. New weapons and drones offer a fresh challenge and the reward is wires.

The "Steel Championship", a 3-on-3 mode in which players must score goals, will be available again from August 29 to September 4. This mode has been optimized based on player feedback and now offers improved vehicle options. Rewards include decorations and containers.

From September 5-11, players can then compete in the "Sea Battle", another PvP mode that offers different roles for vehicles and pours out scrap metal as a reward.

Premiere: Wasteland Hockey

A special highlight of the update is the introduction of "Wasteland Hockey", which will be available from September 12 to 18. Instead of a ball, a heavy puck is used here, which changes the gameplay considerably. The rules are based on the "Steel Championship", but on slippery ice.

Further content and improvements

In addition to the events and modes, the update also introduces a new rare heavy generator assembly, the "FG Aggregator". This has been added due to changes in the energy system and offers players another option for building their vehicles. Balance changes have also been made to existing components such as the "Big G" generator to more clearly emphasize the differences between light and heavy classes.

Minor bugs have also been fixed, including on the "Powerplant" map, and new sound effects have been added for certain interface buttons.
