Crossout has been expanded with many new vehicle parts that allow players to either fly themselves or prevent others from flying. Different rotor models and a wide range of parts allow building the most bizarre variants of post-apocalyptic flying machines - from tiny machines designed for speed to heavyweight behemoths with incredible firepower. The new types of armament include, for example, the minelayer "B12 Dove". Its use requires precise planning: when attacked from a low altitude, its bombs explode with a delay; dropped from a high altitude, they explode immediately on impact, causing a quarter more damage. Also worth mentioning is the ZA-4 Zvezdopad anti-aircraft gun, whose projectiles are designed to explode near the target and damage it with projectile fragments.

There are four new maps designed specifically for battles with armored aircraft.

• "Air Port" is the former science complex of the Waderkvarn corporation on one of the dams in the middle of the Red Rocks. The map features covered areas on both sides for ground vehicle protection, as well as complex environments for vertical gameplay.
• "Outpost of the Wolves" is a former Stratofort Components factory that used to produce parts for military aircraft. With the large stockpiles of materials and equipment preserved here after the crossout, the Steppe Wolves were able to resume production of rotors and fuselages for armored aircraft.
• "Sanctuary" is the Syndicate's haven, where wild nature meets real cyberpunk. The map is designed so that the player can dodge and attack aerial targets even if his ground vehicle is equipped with a rather heavy weapon.
• "The Gates of the Valley" is a desert canyon with tunnels where you can take temporary shelter from enemy aircraft fire. There are also airships on the map that prevent combatants from hovering over the same spot for too long.

To participate in the faction war, you must become an active member of one of the participating factions: Scavengers or Steppe Wolves on the Brotherhood side, Lunatics or Firestarters on the Kaganate side. The event will consist of five phases, each lasting a week, and the achievements of one side or the other will affect the reward at the end.
