Red Bull Campus Clutch returns for season 3
07/17/2023 - Red Bull Campus Clutch, the global VALORANT tournament for students, is back for its third season! This open tournament for college and university students around the world has participants competing in teams, representing their campus and competing for a chance to compete on the world stage.
This season, the finals will be held offline from November 19-24 at the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, which previously hosted the 2022 VALORANT Champions, where LOUD secured the title of VCT World Champion. Since 2021, Red Bull Campus Clutch has hosted more than 800 tournaments, with 25,000 participants in the first season and 30,000 in the second. Registration is now open for the 2023 tournament, which begins July 17. This tournament will once again reveal which five-member team is the best student VALORANT team in the world!
Red Bull Campus Clutch is an esports initiative that brings together aspiring student VALORANT players of all skill levels to team up and experience competitive gaming like never before.
In 2023, there will be even more great action with over 200 regional events over four months. Students around the world can register for the local qualifying competitions starting July 17. Each team of five will participate in the local qualifying competitions, and the top teams will advance to their respective national finals. There, the best student teams in the country compete against each other. The winners are named Red Bull Campus Clutch National Final Winners and have the chance to represent their country at the World Final.
By early November, the best VALORANT student teams from around the world will be determined. Then, each team will receive an invitation to the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Final, a LAN tournament in Istanbul, Turkey, to decide who will become the Red Bull Campus Clutch World Champions. For many of the teams, the event is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play in a professional environment. The winning team will also receive €20,000 in prize money.
Throughout its history, Red Bull Campus Clutch has seen some incredible stories from teams around the world. In 2021, standout teams like Team Egypt surprised everyone by putting themselves and their entire region on the VALORANT map, despite having no experience on the global stage before Red Bull Campus Clutch. Mohamed "shalaby" Shalaby's strong showing even led to him signing with Pro-Esports team Team Vitality. At Red Bull Campus Clutch 2022, new powerhouses competed alongside many teams looking for revenge. The World Final was held at the iconic Estádio do Pacaembu in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and it was the tenacious Team USA that came out on top. But the tournament had it all, and Indonesian talent Oliver Budi "m0rea" Wangge has made a splash since his performance, recently winning a gold medal at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games.
Three outstanding partners are supporting Red Bull Campus Clutch this season, helping to provide participants with the latest and greatest hardware: Intel NUC, AGON by AOC and BACKFORCE are all returning to the tournament in 2023. As a PC partner, Intel NUC, known for its powerful gaming rigs in small form factors, will support participants with its top-of-the-line gaming PCs. Official monitor partner AGON by AOC will once again provide high-performance gaming monitors for the event, and BACKFORCE, returning for its second year as a gaming chair partner, will provide ergonomic chairs to enhance performance and help maintain high gaming levels over long, competitive sessions.
