Turtle Power with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
04/30/2024 - It's time to put the heroes in the tanks as World of Tanks Blitz meets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Tank drivers will team up with the fun-loving heroes, enjoy a tasty pizza, and then face another big confrontation with the evil Shredder.
Since April 24 and until May 24, World of Tanks Blitz players can participate in the "Off to the Sewers!" event. To unlock exclusive TMNT-inspired rewards, tankers should achieve five victories per day over seven days. Rewards include two exclusive camouflages, an animated avatar of Master Splinter, a turtle-themed profile wallpaper and special garage gear adorned with classic elements from the secret TMNT sewer lair. Even wackier are three packs featuring the mega-cool mutant tank, equipped with a Turtle blaster pistol and inspired by the TMNT party wagon.
Once players are warmed up, they can face the evil Shredder in an epic showdown. This starts on May 1 with "Operation Cowabunga". This 60-stage event is packed with mucho mondo rewards, including exclusive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles avatars of fearless leader Leonardo, tough-as-nails Raphael, cunning Donatello and party animal Michelangelo. Players will put their Turtle power to the test on the battlefield, competing for four distinctive camouflages in the signature colors of the Turtles' ninja gear. Tank drivers should keep their eyes peeled for the ultimate reward - a legendary look for the P.44 Pantera, inspired by the very scary Shredder.
More turtle power is coming to Germany's capital: World of Tanks Blitz is sponsoring a group of radiated tortoises at the Aquarium Berlin to ensure their welfare. This species is threatened with extinction due to the loss of its natural habitat in Madagascar and the illegal trade in wild animals. According to the IUCN, this species has disappeared from 40% of its habitat in less than two generations, and if the population decline continues, the species is expected to be extinct in about 45 years. By sponsoring the turtles, Wargaming wants to ensure that the reptiles have a well-protected home at Aquarium Berlin and that the institution's work is supported financially.
