Season 2 is the optimal starting point for newcomers. Thanks to the wipe, all players start with the same prerequisites and get to experience the new faction campaigns and their diverse missions together. These new campaigns also take players to Tharis Island for the first time, the new map of The Cycle: Frontier and currently the biggest challenge, far from the familiar realms. Each faction on Fortuna III has their own reasons for sending players to the new island. It is home to abandoned faction bases, lush canyons, strange artifacts, and a huge, previously completely unexplored and widely ramified cave system. These caves are also at the same time completely different from all previously known maps of The Cycle: Frontier. While the previous areas focused more on outdoor areas, the focus of Tharis Island is on the underground systems. There, players will find ancient technology that enables a new in-match activity and is related to upgrading equipment and specializing in certain abilities.

Another change to The Cycle: Frontier is the improvements to the anti-cheat system. YAGER's goal is to significantly limit cheating so that everyone has a better time on Fortuna III.

On September 29th starting at 7:00pm, YAGER's Adam Cleaver will go live on the official Twitch Channel with some guests from the development team to share Season 2 news and mysteries.
