Cataclysm event ends Season 1 on September 22nd
09/21/2022 - Season 1 of YAGER's free-to-play extraction shooter The Cycle: Frontier is coming to an end with a big bang starting September 22! The Cataclysm event changes Fortuna III and presents the community with completely new challenges.
The days are getting shorter, the deadly storm is appearing more frequently, and the danger to the players is growing immeasurably. The decision is not an easy one: should they take shelter in the safe-looking hiding places or cross the raging storm to make their way to the extraction ship and protect the loot?
Of course, the storm has its advantages, as there is better loot to grab in the center of the action, plus the spawn rate for high-value materials is significantly increased. During the Cataclysm event, meteors rain down from the sky, bringing devastating destruction and rare, strange meteor cores that players can use to craft legendary gear.
The new challenges offer players on Fortuna III the opportunity to obtain powerful weapons and legendary equipment. The end of the Cataclysm event also marks the end of Season 1 of The Cycle: Frontier. The powerful storms and numerous meteor showers destroy the players' entire inventory as well as progress and upgrades. Cosmetic items and the collected in-game currency Aurum are not affected.
Season 2 of The Cycle: Frontier begins on September 28. In it, players will be able to explore the brand new Tharis Islands area, unlock a new Fortuna Pass, complete new quests and missions, and try out an equipment upgrade system. More features and a variety of improvements will be added to The Cycle: Frontier with the Season 2 update, and YAGER is also continuously improving the game's anti-cheat system.
