New story and features: Update 7.5 Desperate Resistance released

06/04/2024 - The new game update 7.5 "Desperate Resistance" for Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is now available. Players can look forward to new story content, modern activities and a seasonal event.
Desperate Resistance Story
Update 7.5 "Desperate Resistance" opens a new chapter in the SWTOR story. Padawan Sa'har Kateen needs help on a risky mission to retrieve Darth Nul's holocron. This attracts the attention of Heta Kol, Sa'har's brother Ri'kkan and the Hidden Chain. Players can explore the new Minboosa district on Hutta and meet new allies like Adi Vonapa and Rakit, who are leading a worker uprising.
This new story expands the SWTOR universe with exciting conflicts and deep character development. The missions around Sa'har Kateen offer both new challenges and interesting story twists that enrich the game experience.
Modernization of Hutta
In addition to the new story, the update also brings with it a comprehensive modernization of the planet Hutta. Players returning to Hutta will recognize many familiar locations, but will also discover numerous new features. The team has been working feverishly to overhaul many elements so that both the new Minboosa district and the original locations shine in new splendor.
This modernization not only makes for a more visually appealing gaming experience, but also improves the gameplay interaction on Hutta. The improvements are both aesthetic and functional, helping to make Hutta an even more interesting place to adventure.
Basilisk prototype activity
Another highlight of the update is the introduction of the new activity system with the Basilisk prototype B3-S1. Players who have completed Lane Vizla's story missions will work with Lane to restore the Basilisk Prototype and unlock it as a full-fledged companion.
The new activity system aims to provide players with additional challenges and rewards. These activities are designed for both single players and groups, with groups being able to speed up progress. To participate in this activity, players must have an active subscription, have reached character level 80 and have completed the "Some Modifications" mission.
As part of the activity, players must complete training missions to stabilize B3-S1 and improve his combat abilities. These missions can be repeated daily and require different combat roles such as tank, healer and damage dealer.
Training missions and rewards
During B3-S1's training, players start in Lane's lab and must stabilize B3-S1 with a memory chip. Training modules grant missions in various daily areas, and there are rewards for successfully completing these missions. Players should ensure that B3-S1 has the correct role in order to progress.
Each training mission can also grant a bonus mission in the form of a hero mission. These are particularly challenging and often require cooperation with other players. Successfully completed missions improve B3-S1's abilities and change his physical appearance to indicate his progressive development.
Spring Festival of Abundance on Dantooine
The new Spring Festival of Abundance event on Dantooine rounds out SWTOR's seasonal event calendar. Players can manage their own farm, participate in daily and weekly missions, and earn new rewards. Missions include holo pole dancing, baking, fish catching and creature rehabilitation.
This event offers a welcome change from the usual combat and mission activities. Players can complete relaxing tasks and collect new rewards in the form of Farmland Medals. These medals can be exchanged for event-specific rewards at the Festival of Plenty token vendor.
Special missions and rewards
The event's special missions include baking festival pies, catching fish and rehabilitating creatures on various planets. Each of these activities offers unique challenges and rewards. Players can also collect rare seeds and grow exotic plants on their farm.
The Spring Festival of Abundance not only brings seasonal joy, but also long-term rewards and progress for players who participate in the various missions.
PvP Season 6 "Great Pirate Hunt"

The maximum season level has been increased to 30 and new armor sets, decorations and titles are available.
