Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is once again launching its popular "Best View in SWTOR" screenshot competition in 2024, where players can submit their best snapshots from the game. As in previous years, five in-game locations will be given for participants to submit their images from. The best submissions will later be made available as in-game Stronghold decorations and distributed via the Anniversary Merchant in SWTOR.

The five locations for 2024

Players can submit their screenshots from the following five locations:

• Ziost
• CZ-198
• Section X
• Minboosa District
• The Black Hole

For each of these locations, a winning image will be selected that best captures the atmosphere and essence of the respective environment. There will be five winners in total.

How to enter

Players who wish to participate must submit their screenshots by October 20, 2024 at the latest. Please note that only one screenshot per email and per location is allowed. Players can participate in multiple locations, but each screenshot may only be submitted once per email. In addition, the following rules apply to the images:

• No player characters in the picture (NPCs are allowed)
• The user interface (UI) must be switched off (default command: Alt Z)
• Screenshots of cutscenes are not allowed
• No subsequent editing or filters
• Images must have a resolution of at least 1920x1080 and be submitted in JPG format

Submissions must also include the following information: Account name, the name of a character on that account, and the associated server. This information is important to ensure that the winners can receive their special in-game prizes.

Important conditions of participation

To ensure that only eligible participants enter, some additional requirements apply. Accounts must have been created by September 1, 2024 and must not have received an in-game ban since September 4, 2023 or forum ban since July 1, 2024.

Awarding of prizes and announcement of winners

Once the contest has concluded and the winners have been selected, the SWTOR team will announce the results before the 2024 Anniversary Event. Winners will receive a special gold-plated version of their submitted screenshot, while the normal versions will be available to all players in the anniversary event.
