On Friday, August 2, the long-awaited summer double XP event begins in RuneScape. Players will have the opportunity to earn double experience points for 48 hours until August 12th. XP time can be paused at any time to ensure that valuable training time is not wasted.

The event offers players the chance to improve their combat skills, train plant lore or prepare for upcoming mining and forging updates. Taking part in the event is simple: activate the timer and get started!

Double XP tokens and loading

With the start of the event, some changes have been made to the double XP tokens and the double XP store. These are now no longer available on free worlds. Players will also be able to purchase special double XP packs during the event:

• DoubleXP item pack: available for 1 Bond, it contains various useful items such as prismatic stars, extenders and accelerators.
• DoubleXP Daily Pack: Also available for 1 Bond, it offers 10 days of daily rewards that can be collected from the Marketplace.

Further updates and changes

In addition to the summer double XP event, RuneScape has also implemented numerous bug fixes and improvements. These include the Shrine of Rebirth, where bugs in the accuracy and defense values of boss enemies have been fixed. Visual effects have also been optimized to improve performance.

The underworld tasks have also been adjusted so that certain tasks can now be completed correctly. In addition, the descriptions and dialog of some adventures have been updated.

Treasure Hunter Calendar

Players can also look forward to upcoming treasure hunter events. From July 30-31, the Rainbow Trail returns, where Rainbow Dust can be collected and spent for rewards. From August 1-7, Farsight will offer new opportunities to re-draw chests and maximize rewards.
