Nine years of World of Warships: New ships, events and festive rewards
09/05/2024 - World of Warships is celebrating its ninth anniversary and bringing a host of new content to the game. In addition to festive rewards, players can experience new Pan-American battleships in Early Access and take part in further events and missions.
World of Warships, the successful MMO from Wargaming, is celebrating its ninth anniversary this year. As part of the 13.8 anniversary update, players can look forward to a host of new content and events. Highlights include festive rewards, a new event called "Aquatica Fair" and Early Access for brand new Pan-American battleships.
In addition to the anniversary event, a new port called "Planeta Aquatica" will also be integrated into the game, creating a special atmosphere. Players can look forward to a variety of rewards, including celebratory tokens that can be exchanged for valuable items such as the premium Tier VIII cruiser Rochester, special containers and numerous other in-game items. Consumption bonuses, badges and flags are also available.
Another highlight is the introduction of a new puzzle collection with 60 pieces. These are available in special containers, which are available as part of the "Battle of Paso de Patria" event. Players who complete all the pieces in the collection will receive the historical Pan-American commander Joaquim Marques Lisboa as a reward.
In Early Access, players can also take control of three new Pan-American battleships: Ipiranaga, Los Andes and Libertad. These ships are characterized by powerful main and secondary weapons as well as an improved repair system that increases survivability in battles.
In addition, new seasons of ranked battles and skirmishes are starting. A new ranked season will begin on September 5, while the 27th season of Clan Battles will start on September 11. So players can look forward to plenty of challenges and rewards as they lead their fleets into battle.
For the console and mobile version World of Warships: Legends there is also exciting news. A new five-part campaign called "Storm of the Renaissance" will be introduced, with the Italian premium Tier VIII cruiser Michelangelo as the final reward. At the same time, new pan-European destroyers will be added to the game, providing additional tactical depth with their maneuverability and firepower.
Finally, the "European Navies" collection will be expanded, allowing players to collect 12 special cards. These cards are available in special containers and can be earned as part of the anniversary activities. The complete collection rewards players with the pan-European destroyer Orjen, complete with special camouflage.
