Luck and fun at the new seasonal event for the Year of the Rabbit
01/19/2023 - Time for fireworks, delicious food, and colorful costumes - the Lunar New Year is here! The seasonal Year of the Rabbit event kicks off in Overwatch 2 on January 17, bringing you new skins, festive maps, and the return of some popular arcade battles. You can also earn free rewards when you log in and play.
Festive maps and game modes return!
Watch the fireworks in the night sky from Lijiang Tower and engage in arcade battles with Flag Capture, Flag Capture: Blitz and Bounty Hunter game modes.
Flag Capture is a fast-paced game mode where the goal is to capture the enemy flag while defending your own. From now on you can start competing to capture the flag. Work with your team, secure a high ranking in the leaderboard and earn leaderboard points to unlock golden weapons for your favorite heroes.
Flag Capture: Blitz is an even faster version of the arcade game Flag Capture. The flags are all located near the center of the map. Quick decisions and moves are required here if you want to win with your team.
Last but not least, during the seasonal Year of the Rabbit event, you can play the tense FFA Bounty Hunter Brawl. The first person to score a kill becomes a bounty target and can earn even more points with additional kills. Get the bounty to pass to you, but beware - if there is a bounty on you, you can be seen through walls and floors! Can you survive in this exciting game mode when all eyes are on you?
Earn rewards through activity
During the Year of the Rabbit event, you can also earn new rewards. You will already receive the Year of the Rabbit 2023 player icon when you log in. During the Year of the Rabbit Brawls, you can expect new event challenges, great bonus extras, and Battle Pass XP. Complete four of the available event challenges to earn the legendary Kkachi Echo skin.

Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with your favorite content creators streaming live on Twitch to earn a winning pose and a legendary skin for Moira from our Lunar New Year collection.
Watch with your linked Battle.net account for two hours to earn the "Lion Roars" victory pose for Moira, and then watch for another four hours to earn the "Masked Dancer" legendary skin for Moira.
