Bug fixes and adjustments in Once Human: Update August 2024
08/13/2024 - The developers of Once Human have released a series of bug fixes and adjustments to improve the gaming experience. These include the sliding and climbing system, seasonal target tasks and various game bugs.
In the latest update to Once Human, a popular free-to-play title, the developers have fixed a number of bugs that were affecting the gaming experience. The updates include adjustments made between August 5 and August 8, targeting various areas of the game.
On August 8th, a critical bug was fixed that caused gliding to stop working when the key mapping for gliding and climbing was changed. This meant that players who customized their controls had to forgo these important movement options. In conjunction with this, the option to enable gliding was temporarily disabled to prevent further issues.
Another significant fix concerned the excessive damage that the Manibus unit was causing to buildings in the Primary War. This bug has been fixed to ensure a more balanced gameplay. Additionally, the completion requirements for some seasonal objectives have been adjusted. The number of required explorations of puzzle locations has been reduced from 80 to 60, and the number of Mystic Crates to find has been reduced from 36 to 20. The objective to obtain a mutation with a certain mutant energy has been temporarily removed due to issues with correct counting.
Also on August 7, several bugs were fixed that disrupted the game experience. A problem with the distribution of the mutation foul gel was solved, as was a bug that knocked players aside when they collided with a captured electric eel. Another issue concerned the assignment of territories that were incorrectly marked as belonging to other players, which prevented teleportation. In addition, text errors in reminder emails for expiring Meta Passes were corrected and a problem with the repeated use of wallpaper unlock items was fixed.
On August 6, the developers focused on bugs that mainly affected new players. A critical bug caused players to fall through the ground during the tutorial, resulting in an incorrect respawn location. A rare bug was also fixed that caused certain materials to be stackable due to incorrect physics validation.
Two urgent issues were addressed on August 5th: An anomaly with Relentless Assault calibration slots in pro dungeons, and an issue that allowed players to enter certain dungeons while wearing chaos cortices.
