Albion Online's "Crystal Raiders" update marks a turning point in the way guild wars are fought. A new system for territory raids allows guilds to steal siphoned energy from rivals through so-called Raw Energy Cores. This system aims to make the battle for territory more exciting and give smaller guilds more chances to deal blows over the course of a season.

Crystal Weapons: A New Weapon Class

A standout feature of the update are the crystal weapons, the first of their kind in a completely new weapon tree. These powerful weapons, crafted from artifacts, are characterized by their clear design and visible crystals. The artifacts required for these weapons can be obtained at the end of a season in the chests of the Conqueror's Challenge. Three additional weapons are added with each new season, with older artifacts remaining available in reduced numbers. These weapons also offer unique bonuses for all weapons in the same tree on the Destiny Board.

The First Three Crystal Weapons

The update introduces three special crystal weapons, each with its own unique spell. The Infinity Blade, a sword, has the spell "Boundary Breaker", which enables a devastating double strike. The Rift Glade, a spear, has the Razor Blade ability, which unleashes massive projections of the blade. The astral staff, an arcane staff, summons a shower of deadly shooting stars with "Falling Stars".

Strength bonus and guild challenges

A daily strength bonus has been introduced, depending on territories held and their power generation. This bonus can be claimed via the Conqueror Challenge interface. The update also makes it easier for smaller guilds to gain season points from instanced PvP by reducing the required strength per level and increasing the season points per level.

Redesign of the Conqueror Challenge

The Conqueror Challenge has been redesigned to provide players with direct rewards for both individual and guild progression. The new Conqueror's Chests replace guaranteed battle mounts and contain crystal weapon artifacts as well as other valuable rewards. The value of these chests increases through individual challenge progress and guild progress (seasonal rank).
