From shapeshifter weapons to tracking, here's what to expect in the Wild Blood update!
09/18/2023 - On October 16, the long-awaited "Wild Blood" content update for Albion Online will be released. This update brings a variety of fantastic creatures to Albion and allows players to use this primal magic themselves.
Main features of the update:
- Shapeshifter Weapons: A brand new line of weapons that allows players to switch between human and non-human forms. This adds a new dimension to the game's "you are what you wear" system.
- Tracking: a new open-world feature that lets players track these creatures and follow them across regions, eventually confronting them in a final showdown. Hunting these creatures can bring magical rewards.
- Awakened Items: Players can imbue weapons with unique properties. These items can be lost in battle, but can also reappear in the world as rare loot.
- Artifacts and Alchemical Ingredients: These can be obtained by tracking and defeating rare creatures and offer a variety of trading and crafting opportunities.
- Personal Islands: Players can now own multiple personal islands that are visually and biometrically linked to their town.
- Random Dungeons: These have received new visuals and special enemies.
- Death Review: A screen that allows players to review and learn from their defeats.
- New and Revised Potions: These potions correspond to the wild beasts that can be tracked, and offer new options in combat and gathering in Albion.
- Island and Farming Enhancements: Personal islands have received a visual upgrade and now offer unique farming bonuses.
- Other Improvements: These include improved and simplified Marketplace and Black Market action, new Mob Camp variants, and optimizations for mobile devices and controllers.
