Knightfall Content Update now available
05/08/2023 - Albion Online is launching a major new content patch today called Knightfall. It is the first major patch since the launch of the new Albion East server and brings new features for the Mists, a new dungeon called Knightfall Abbey, a wide range of new items including new capes and mounts, a new merchant NPC in Brecilien, and more.
Major new features and improvements for the Mists:
- Knightfall Abbey, a mysterious dungeon hidden deep in the Mists.
- An atmospheric setting with crumbling walls and beautiful stained glass windows
- Contains treasures and ancient shrines that provide powerful buffs
- Access is for a limited time only and must be found
- Other players can also enter the dungeon, leading to unique encounters and battles
- Chests, new treasures that reveal their location only to nearby players
- Lairs bring individual loot for players who clear a mob camp
New items, merchants, and reputation
- An NPC in Brecilien, Eralia Wayfarer, trades only with adventurers of good reputation
- New Avalonian and Brecilian capes with unique defenses
- New rideable Mystic Owl that quickly transports adventurers across the world
Improvements to the roads of Avalon
- Revamped with new enemies and higher mob density
- New off-the-beaten-paths between streets provide opportunities for exploration and, when necessary, escape
- Some mobs in the streets now have Avalonian energy with them
Improvements in the overall game quality
- Optional WASD movement system
- Character gender can be changed for gold
- Extensive gameplay improvements with controller and mobile version
