Into the Fray content update released
06/08/2022 - Today, the Into the Fray content update went live. Albion's twelfth major update brings significant new features, changes, and improvements that will make combat and exploration in Albion better, while making it easier for all types of players to get right into the action.
Primarily, this update includes a massive overhaul of Magic Staffs. Along with the improvements in graphics, audio, and animations, numerous new and reworked skills bring more depth and strategy to staff gameplay, making mages more powerful on the battlefield and opening up a variety of new opportunities for cooperation and counterattack.
In the Outlands, Portal Cities, the outposts of the Royal Cities in Albion's Black Zones, provide a safe and convenient entry point into these areas while reducing overpopulation in the cities themselves. Castles and castle outposts are upgraded, with revised graphics and layouts offering more engaging and unpredictable gameplay, while changes to timers and chests make them a more dynamic element for guild warfare. Albion's 5 vs. 5 scene gets two new features: The Crystal Arena, a ranked arena with quick sign-up and rewards that increase in value, and the non-lethal Crystal League, where more inexperienced players can get a taste of the excitement and basics of the Crystal League without the big cost. Both systems offer new rewards, including unique skins for the closet, and of course fame and silver. For PvP players, Victory Emotes provide a pleasing way to celebrate victories at length.
Daily events bring bonuses to a wide range of activities, providing occasions for players to test out new content for them while rewarding devoted crafters, collectors, and fighters. Along with a new activities UI, the update brings improvements such as UIs for Silenced Players and Individual Matches, outfits with lost equipment for quick re-equipping, revamped graphics for resources, training dummies on islands, controller support for mobile devices, and much more.
