In August 2023, gamescom will hold its renowned congress for the 15th time. One date that should be marked in red in every gaming calendar is August 24. On that day, 100 international experts will gather in Cologne to shed light on the numerous social, economic and technological potentials of computer games. With topics ranging from education and business to the social impact of games, the congress will provide a platform for expert talks, debates and forward-looking presentations.

But gamescom has no plans to rest on its laurels. In March 2024, it will introduce a completely new event: gamescom LAN. From March 15 to 17, Cologne will become a mecca for more than 2,000 gamers, who will be able to immerse themselves in networked multiplayer action in the halls of the gamescom LAN. But it's not just about gaming: The event will also host a Digital Playground, where Germany's best-known content creators and gaming creators will cavort.

Felix Falk, games managing director, expressed his excitement about the new addition: "At gamescom, the community takes centerstage. Thegamescom LAN, which focuses strongly on gamers, is therefore the perfect complement." The event is also supported by other well-known partners and promises to be another milestone in the history of gamescom.
