Wargaming opens two new branches
06/14/2022 - Following Wargaming's decision to withdraw from business in Russia and Belarus, the company announces the next step in the process of restructuring - the opening of two new studios in Belgrade (Serbia), and Warsaw (Poland), which will strengthen the company's global operations.
The new locations will be Wargaming's seventh and eighth offices in Europe after Berlin, Guildford, Kiev, Nicosia, Prague and Vilnius and will house up to 400 employees. Wargaming Belgrade will be home to both international and domestic development and publishing staff. In the future, the office will also become a major hub for Wargaming employees from various locations. The studio will focus on the World of Tanks and World of Warships brands, as well as provide key services and possible new product development.
Wargaming Warsaw will initially house a small publishing team. Further development plans for the site will be decided as Wargaming restructures.
"Warsaw and Belgrade were a logical choice for the new locations, as both are rapidly developing technology sectors with enormous potential. We look forward to working closely with the IT communities in both cities to build world-class development and publishing units," said Victor Kislyi, CEO of Wargaming. "Wargaming continues to have big plans for the future. The Belgrade and Warsaw locations will be critical to achieving our goals."
As part of the opening of the Belgrade office, Wargaming will support the growth of local gaming talent by offering an intensive local internship program - Wargaming Forge. This program will allow talented individuals (students, graduates, junior professionals) to hone their skills under the guidance of the company's experienced executives and mentors.
