New interstellar operations for World of Warships

Wargaming, the publisher of World of Warships, is once again working with Paramount Pictures to launch the next phase of the Star Trek collaboration. From October 30, players will have three new operations at their disposal that will take them into the world of Star Trek until mid-December. The missions involve defeating the Borg Collective and overcoming intergalactic challenges with ships from the Federation, the Vulcans, the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire.

Players can not only deploy new ships such as destroyers, cruisers and battleships, but also command iconic captains such as Picard, Spock, Gowron and Sela. Rewards include ship upgrade modules and Star Trek tokens that can be used to upgrade ship stats.

Ships and reward line

At the beginning of the event, players will have three special ships at their disposal: a destroyer, a cruiser and a battleship. The U.S.S. Enterprise-D, an aircraft carrier, can be unlocked by completing the reward line. It is also available in-game for a limited time.

Each of the operational ships can be further upgraded with various modules. These modules relate to weapons, shields and hulls and offer players the opportunity to customize their ships. Experimenting with combinations of modules allows players to optimize their ships for specific tasks.

The new Star Trek port

In addition to the new missions, players can track their progress, upgrade their ships and build a collection of Star Trek memorabilia in the specially created Star Trek Port. The collection consists of 16 unique items that can be unlocked by completing the operations. Some of the collection items offer special combat bonuses.

Iconic captains and their role in the event

With the introduction of the new Star Trek event, four new captains will also be made available: Riker, Janeway, the Borg Queen and Worf. Each of these captains is assigned to a specific faction and a specific ship, each with their own advantages.

Riker commands the Pan-Asian cruiser Chengan, while Janeway commands the American cruiser Salem. The Borg Queen takes command of the Japanese battleship Yamato, and the Klingon warrior Worf leads the French cruiser Bougainville into battle. All captains are available as rewards for a limited time, as are two new permanent cloaks for the ships.
