Wargaming and FORCE BLUE present D-Day documentary
05/22/2024 - World of Warships is releasing the documentary "Frog Fathers: Lessons from the Normandy Surf" to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day. In collaboration with FORCE BLUE, the film highlights the heroic missions of the Naval Combat Demolition Units, the forerunners of today's Navy SEALS.

In addition to the documentary premiere, World of Warships will host the fourth annual "Long Night of Museums" on June 1. This will feature stories about naval museum ships that were involved in D-Day. Highlights include guided tours and special twitch drops, as well as guest appearances by experts such as Tyler Pitrof from the U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command.
New game content for D-Day
To commemorate D-Day, World of Warships is bringing three new operations and a new Normandy port to the game. The operations, which are active for two weeks, allow up to six players to compete in a division with ships of levels V to VII. The reward is stars, which can be used to unlock historical commanders, camouflage and badges. The first operation starts on May 29 and challenges players to support an Allied vanguard approaching Utah Beach.
