Wargaming sends the Pan-Asian cruisers into Early Access
01/17/2022 - Wargaming is launching some V-X level Pan-Asian cruisers in the new update. In addition, super ships are offered for rent in the random battles, the asymmetric battles return and the armory has a few powerful additions.
Pan-Asian Cruisers: Part One
In the first new event of the year, players can take command of six Pan-Asian cruisers for the first time - ships known for their small-caliber but rapid-firing guns and powerful deep-sea torpedoes. They include the Tier V Chungking from the Republic of China and the Tier VI Rahmat from Malaysia, to the Tier X Jinan from the People`s Republic of China.
To that end, 28 new combat missions will be made available week by week in four phases, each packed with a number of rewards upon completion, such as access to the Tier V Chungking and the Tier VII Chumphon, as well as some Pan-Asian tokens. This new temporary resource can be redeemed for a number of camouflages, patches, and sequentially available packages for the Tier VI Rahmat and the Tier VIII Harbin, as well as the Tier IX Sejong and their special skins. The "Dragon" port has also been updated in honor of the event!
In keeping with the theme of Pan-Asian cruisers, captains can also celebrate the Lunar Year by participating in combat missions to earn a themed flag, special containers, and other items.
Earn Portal Tokens via the Socials
With the 0.11.0 update, players can earn Portal Tokens. To do so, special tasks will be unlocked via Twitch drops and Discord activities, and the tokens can be redeemed for a mission marathon that features the permanent "Japanese Fortress" camouflage for the Fuso as a reward. The camouflage can also be unlocked directly, but then a little more portal tokens must be collected.
Supership-sized changes to Random Battles and return of Asymmetric Battles
After extensive testing in rated and co-op battles, the Superships are now ready for an extensive new testing phase in Random Battles to make this popular new addition a permanent part of World of Warships.
Asymmetric Battles are back! The battle type with a different number of ships on each side has undergone some changes since it was last available in the game. The mode now includes 6-8 Tier IX and X ships for one team and 9-12 Tier VII and VIII ships for the other.
New from the Armory
Last but not least, the Incomparable battlecruiser project becomes available in the Armory of Steel, packed with a variety of consumables. Thanks to the 508mm main guns and two four-tube torpedo guns, this ship is not only fast, but also has the firepower you need.
