All info about update 12.1
02/22/2023 - Wargaming is bringing a whole armada of content to the game with update 12.1. With British submarines in Early Access, a campaign with an Australian light cruiser as a reward, and a new season of clan battles, the update is packed with content.
British submarines in Early Access
Starting March 2, three historic British submarines will make their way into Early Access. Undine, Sturdy and Thrasher are coming to the game along with several permanent camouflages and other attractive rewards. These submarines offer high maneuverability and fast-reloading acoustic torpedoes, but their limited hit points require players to be skillful. The submarines also feature the standard equipment of a submarine, including "damage limitation team," "submarine surveillance," and "hydrophone."
In addition to these upgrades, there are a number of special missions, upon completion of which players will receive a special commemorative flag and British badges.
"Queen of the Seas" Adventure Begins
In a three-week campaign format, "The Queen of the Seas" takes players on a special pirate adventure that follows the path of an Australian bushranger who flees the continent aboard a mythical ship. During the adventure, players can collect many pirate tokens - a temporary resource that can be exchanged for two valuable prizes: the Australian light cruiser Brisbane and the captain Matilda Kelly. With powerful anti-aircraft defenses, ten 152-mm main guns, and reinforced torpedo armament, the Brisbane is a valuable addition to any fleet. There is also Captain Matilda Kelly with 19 ability points.
American awards for captains
But the missions don't stop there: Through the end of February, players can embark on a series of missions with American rewards for completing them, including American stamps and the Statue of Liberty Captain with unique voice acting. Players can also receive permanent camouflage, a souvenir flag and a number of other star-spangled goodies in exchange for stamps or from random doubloon packs.
Salamander Clan Battle Season
As update 12.1 comes to a close, the game is kicking off its 20th season of clan battles. From February 20 to April 10, Warships players can team up with Tier X ships and go head-to-head in a seven-on-seven format. As usual, there are a handful of ship restrictions that exclude aircraft carriers and submarines, as well as a cap on battleships to keep the playing field even.
Update 12.1 adds another Battle Pass to the game, launches three skirmishes on February 20, and brings some visual and technical changes to the game.
