New adventures in Old School RuneScape: Varlamore update released

Varlamore: New areas, quests and an epic boss fight in Old School RuneScape

With today's update "Varlamore: The Rising Darkness", Old School RuneScape expands its world with new areas, challenges and rewards. In this classic MMORPG expansion, players can travel to the snowy Hailstorm Mountains and face a dangerous boss fight against the gigantic serpent Hueycoatl.

An epic boss battle against Hueycoatl

The giant snake Hueycoatl awaits brave adventurers in the high peaks of the Hailstorm Mountains. Players will face this mighty creature in the new boss fight and receive support from unexpected allies, including members of the Dwarven Party and a priest to help in the fight. Defeating Hueycoatl will be crowned with valuable rewards, including the Tome of Earth, which provides infinite earth runes and boosts spells by 10%, as well as a new Dragon Hunter wand and the Hueycoatl skin armor.

New area and activities in Varlamore

Away from the icy peaks, players can explore the lush island of Aldarin, where they can improve their Herblore skills. This new activity allows players to grow herbs, research alchemical elements and benefit from various rewards, including new potions and Herblorean items.

Additionally, the Colossal Wyrm Agility Course offers a new challenge where players must clear a termite infestation and assist the aging anteater Worm Tongue. Successful participants will receive agility experience as well as unique rewards such as the Varlamore Graceful Recolour and a new Skeletal Transmog for the popular Squirrel Pet.

New quests and rewards

The update also brings new quests. In "The Heart of Darkness", players must uncover a threat to Servius and confront the sinister Emissaries. The outcome of this quest series could have a decisive influence on the fate of Varlamore. Successful adventurers receive, among other things, the Hueycoatl armor, which grants various defense bonuses.

It is an expansion of Old School RuneScape that adds new quests, areas and a challenging boss fight against the giant snake Hueycoatl.

Rewards include the Book of Earth, a new Dragon Hunter Wand, and the Hueycoatl Skin Armor, which grants various bonuses.
