Runescape is celebrating its birthday with a special promotion: players can activate special buffs every day from today until January 21. These buffs are divided into three categories: Combat, Skill Training and Miscellaneous. Each buff offers different benefits, such as "Pious", where no prayer points are consumed when prayers are active, or "Kleptomaniac", where pickpocketing is never absent. Players can choose one buff each day, but only one per day, so choosing wisely is key.

In addition to the buffs, players can progress towards unlocking an exclusive hat by logging in on event days and activating the buffs. There are two versions of the hat: a standard and a retro version, which are unlocked at the same time. The hat is considered the most stylish accessory in all of Gielinor.

Vorkath: Updates and new features

Another highlight of this week are the updates in the battle against Vorkath, especially in his difficult mode. In November, a number of improvements were already made to motivate players for hard mode and to improve the loot lists based on feedback. The latest addition was the introduction of Vorkath's Scale, a crafting material only available in Hard Mode. This material allows players to upgrade their Dracolich armor from level 90 to level 92 without the need for ancient scales or other materials. This new addition is intended to allow players to acquire level 92 armor without having to dedicate time to other game content. This addition is seen as a significant improvement for players who want more valuable rewards for their extra effort.
