Start of public early access!
12/01/2023 - During the PC Gamer Most Wanted live show late last night, MYGAMES revealed Early Access and also the first hints of the game's future in the form of an exciting teaser for the upcoming game release. HAWKED is available now for PC via the MYGAMES Launcher and Steam, with console versions planned for early 2024.
As a further incentive to join Early Access, MY.GAMES has launched the "Renegade Gathering" campaign. Players who sign up during the rally will receive free in-game content and the chance to win special prizes, which include a lifetime supply of premium currency.
HAWKED is an extraction shooter in which teams of up to three players or individuals compete to collect and recover artifacts on a remote island called X-Isle. Players ("Renegades") compete against each other to secure and recover artifacts that can only be obtained by fighting monsters, other players, solving puzzles and avoiding traps.
The first team to retrieve artifacts from the island wins the round. To ensure that each game is worthwhile, players can also recover smaller treasures and leave the island (dead or alive) with useful currency that they can spend on improving their game character.
Fighting with dirty tricks
Loot weapons and ammunition to survive against nasty monsters and other players on the island. Use your environment strategically and employ sneaky tactics to defeat your opponents. Lay ambushes while other players solve puzzles, or use the trap-filled tombs to your advantage by luring other teams to their doom - no tactic or trick is beyond reproach when securing the artifact.
Customize your Renegade
HAWKED offers extensive character customization. With a huge selection of clothing, hairstyles and colors, players can visually customize their characters and combine artifacts, equipment and boosters to create their ultimate treasure hunter and tailor their gameplay to their preferred style.
Artifacts can be equipped as soon as they are found on the island. They offer passive bonuses, such as the ability to turn into a bush when ducking, or a sixth sense for nearby enemies. HAWKED currently has 18 types of artifacts. Players can combine three of them at a time, and all artifacts can be found and upgraded at different rarity levels.
Players can use these artifacts along with 16 types of equipment such as boomerangs, deployable covers, a recon falcon and more, providing a wide range of customization options and play styles. Equipment and artifacts are upgraded with currency obtained by selling and/or dismantling treasure on the Riftwake, the game's social space. In HAWKED, players can bring their ideal Renegade to the island, from dastardly assassin to team-oriented support.
An evolving island
Players must explore X Island, a recently discovered treasure chest full of loot. However, the nefarious, scaly Eleven have also laid claim to the island and will not give up their conquest so easily. X-Isle is a huge, dynamic map where players must compete against each other on different parts of the island in each game session. Treasures and artifacts are hidden everywhere in hidden temples and ruins.
Players will also have to use their wits by solving puzzles to open doors and uncover important treasure chambers. There will be dynamic events in the matches, such as a huge Eleven caravan transporting a crate filled with treasure. The boss of the caravan must be defeated to secure its artifacts. Over time, X-Isle will evolve through updates, limited-time events and seasonal launches.
