The battle for Stalingrad has begun!
03/31/2022 - Gaijin Entertainment and Darkflow Software announce the release of the major content update Battle for Stalingrad for the WW2 online shooter Enlisted. The Stalingrad campaign features a new monetization and progression system that allows easier and faster access to new weapons and vehicles.
Other new features include soldier and vehicle customization, bomber raids, legendary Stalingrad snipers and pilots, flamethrower tanks, medics and more.
The Battle for Stalingrad was one of the defining moments of World War II. Enlisted "s Battle for Stalingrad includes carefully recreated iconic structures such as the headquarters of German Field Marshal Friedrich Paulus, as well as authentic weapons and equipment used by both sides, such as flamethrower tanks. Players can even use the legendary snipers Vasily Zaitsev and Erwin Koenig or Tatyana Sumarokova and Mariya Smirnova (the pilots of the historic Night Witches squadron) and go into battle with them.
The campaign is available for free, but some levels are exclusive to owners of the Access Pack. Owners of this pack will receive soldiers and weapons that are already trained and upgraded to the maximum level, allowing them to get through the campaign faster and at no additional cost. Players can optionally pay for cosmetic items for soldiers such as fur caps, belts and bags to customize their appearance to their liking without sacrificing historical accuracy.
New weapon types and equipment include the Hungarian Kiraly submachine gun, the French Potez 633 dive bomber flying the Romanian flag, as well as the ampoule gun, which fires flammable liquid capsules, and the legendary Maxim machine gun, first introduced in 1910.
Bomber raids can now be requested by radio operators as an alternative to existing options such as an artillery strike on the target. Bomber squadrons take 2 minutes to arrive, and they can be shot down by enemy anti-aircraft guns or fighters.
Medics are a new class of soldier in Enlisted. They can help wounded directly on the battlefield as well as distribute first aid kits to allies so they can take care of themselves. Any direct or indirect help with treatment is rewarded with experience points.
Other campaigns of Enlisted such as the Battle of Moscow or the Normandy invasion have also received new missions, soldiers and equipment.
