Festival of the Lost returns after Destiny 2 with new treats
10/30/2024 - The annual Festival of the Lost is back in Destiny 2. Players can unlock new rewards, exotic items and the popular Super Black Shader as they complete challenges.
Today marks the start of Destiny 2's annual Festival of the Lost, an event that traditionally takes place during the fall season and puts players in a festive mood. As every year, the event offers a host of new content and rewards for Guardians to earn. Players can look forward to the new Legendary Heavy Volley Arcus Shotgun "Arcane Embrace" as well as new festival ornament sets chosen by the community. These ornaments are inspired by the Evil and Good Witch themes, with Warlocks and Hunters favoring the Evil Witch design and Titans opting for the Good Witch set.
Another highlight of this year's festival are the exotic class items offered by Eva Levante. These are available to players who own The Final Form expansion and can be purchased for an uncanny engram and 2,500 candy. The items have randomized stats (random rolls), and there is no limit to how many times players can reacquire them. For those who have activated attunement on exotic class items, an attunement perk is also guaranteed.
Another popular item returns this year: the Super Black Shader. This can be unlocked by completing the Ghost Hunter title, which requires the completion of 15 event challenges. This is a worthwhile challenge for players who want to jump into the event and further expand their collection.
Additionally, players will have the opportunity to complete the "Haunted Sectors" playlist event by November 19th to gain access to the exclusive Headless Shirt in the Bungie Store. The event not only offers in-game rewards, but also a connection to the real world through limited edition merchandise.
The Festival of the Lost takes place in the midst of the first act of Destiny 2: Revenants, where Guardians take on the role of Slaughterer Barons and fight against the undead taunting army of Fokrul. Together with Mithrax, Crow and Eido, players will have new activities at their disposal, including brewing elixirs, the new mode "Onslaught: Redemption" and the dungeon "Vesper's Domain".
This year's Festival of the Lost will once again bring plenty of festive fun and new challenges to the world of Destiny 2. Players can look forward to a variety of new rewards and, in keeping with tradition, explore the dark Haunted Sectors.
