In The Final Form, the Guardians engage in an epic battle with the Witness, who seeks to determine the fate of the universe through his twisted plans. During their adventure, they enter the fabled Traveler and explore a brand new destination: The Pale Heart. In pursuit of the Witness in the Pale Heart, the Guardians join forces with their Vanguard allies and face both new and familiar foes.

With the release of The Final Form, the Guardians will be given unprecedented powers to take on their ultimate enemy. Foremost among these is the new Prism Focus. Forged from the energies of Light and Darkness, Prism allows players to combine Arc, Solar, Void, Stasis and Strang into a unique focus of their choice. When they deal enough Light and Dark damage, players become "Transcendent," granting them new grenades that deal both Light and Dark damage, as well as a bonus to weapon damage and more.

Prism offers numerous options for buildcrafting and has more fragment types and slots than other focuses. Combined with the new Exotic class items coming with The Final Form - one for each class - players will be able to showcase their true abilities as a Guardian better than ever before.

Following the launch of Destiny 2: The Final Form and the Guardians' encounter with the Witness, Bungie will release the first episode, Echoes , on June 11. In this first of three standalone episodes that will be released throughout the year of The Final Form, a new adventure awaits the Guardians after the battle with the Witness. From June 11 to early October, Echos will unfold over three acts - with numerous new stories, activities and rewards.

The new raid and the race for World's First start on June 7

Shortly after the launch of The Final Form, Bungie will release its newest raid, Edge of Salvation. Raids in Destiny are challenging activities for six experienced Guardians who want to test their skill, teamwork and abilities to overcome the toughest challenges in the game. The Edge of Salvation Raid will be available to all owners of The Final Form on June 7 at 7pm CEST.

With the launch of the Redemption's Edge Raid, Bungie will also be launching a global competition to crown the squad that completes the raid first. The successful raid team will receive a unique "World's First" title belt for each raid team member and, of course, the glory of claiming the "World's First" title. Look out for the official announcement of the World's First winning team in the days following the Raid's release.

Destiny 2: The final form

The final form looms ominously before us - a nightmarish paralysis of reality after the abnormal conception of the Witness. The Guardians embark on a perilous journey into the heart of the Traveler, rallying the Vanguard and ending the war between light and darkness. Destiny 2: The Final Formis the final chapter in Destiny's ten-year "saga of light and darkness", in which players must harness new powers and face new challenges.

• Prism - For the first time in Destiny, players will combine the powers of Darkness and Light with the Prism Focus. They will balance light and darkness to achieve transcendence, unlock new abilities and unleash the true power of Prism.
• The Pale Heart - For a decade, Destiny players have gazed up at the Traveler in fascination. And now they will enter it for the first time. They will explore the new destination, a landscape that echoes with the traces of the Guardians' past deeds. In this mysterious place, players will explore the Traveler's heart, which has been tampered with by the Witness.
• Legendary Camp aign - Never has there been more at stake, never has there been a greater challenge. The Legendary Campaign returns with The Final Form, offering generous rewards and a daunting challenge that Guardians can only face with their squad.
• Exotic Class Items - For the first time in Destiny 2, players will be able to equip Exotic Class Items. These items will include popular perks from other popular Exotic gear and even other classes. Players will be able to combine two perk abilities for the first time.

The Abominations

This enemy faction, allied with the Witness, includes several new enemy types in Destiny 2:

• The Grimm: Highly agile, flying enemies whose piercing screams can slow Guardians and suppress their abilities.
• The Husk: These fighters, who mainly rely on close combat, are lightning fast and extremely dangerous. They possess gigantic double blades and the ability to launch a second attack known as a spook.
• The Weaver and the Caretaker: These Psion-like fighters possess Strang and Stasis respectively and can freeze Guardians in place or drag them across the battlefield.
• The Omen and the Herald: These subjugators, who control Stasis and Strang, lead the Abominations into battle.

Dungeons & Dragons x Destiny 2

To coincide with the release of Destiny 2: The Final Form, Bungie revealed a new crossover partnership between Destiny 2 and Dungeons & Dragons Wizards of the Coast, featuring items in Destiny 2 inspired by the legendary pen-&-paper role-playing game. Guardians will be able to customize themselves with the new Dungeons & Dragons inspired armor ornaments - one for each Guardian class - as well as D&D accessories like an Exotic Spirit, an Exotic Ship and an Exotic Sparrow to prepare for the toughest encounters. The Bungie Store will also offer a vinyl figure of the Eye Tyranid Spirit Shell, inspired by the dreaded many-eyed monster from the D&D universe.

Episode: Echoes

The first Destiny 2 episode, Echoes, will be released one week after the launch of The Final Form. Echoes is the first of three episodes that will be released in Destiny 2 in the year of The Final Form. In three acts released between June 11 and early October, this episode sees the Guardians embark on a new adventure after confronting the Witness. In this standalone story, they will experience exciting adventures in new activities and can earn brand new rewards.
