Season of Seraphs launched in Destiny 2
12/06/2022 - Today marks the start of the Season of Seraphs in the action MMO Destiny 2 - with new seasonal activities and weekly missions that boil down to the highlight of obtaining a new Exotic Weapon. There is also a brand new dungeon, PvP updates and much more.
Bungie is also excited to collaborate with Ubisoft to bring ornaments to the game for players to dress up as Assassins in Destiny 2. Annual events such as The Dawning and Triumphant Moments are also back this season to help Guardians celebrate the holidays and the past year and prepare for the new challenges ahead.
Activities and rewards in the season of seraphs
This season is about the complicated history of the Bray family and their relationship with the war spirit Rasputin, who is targeted by Xivu Arath. Guardians infiltrate BrayTech facilities in battlegrounds and participate in weekly story missions to try to restore the War Spirit.
This Friday, a new dungeon will be unlocked for Keepers who wish to take on the challenge. The dungeon is available to players who own the Witch Queen Deluxe Edition or the Witch Queen Dungeon Key.
Crucible Updates
The Crucible playlist structure will be updated to optimize Crucible offerings. Fame is replaced with a new ranking: the Competitive Division - a 3v3 ranking with seven divisions. The new Crucible Seal of Glory has been added to replace the Unbroken Seal. Engrams will now be focused at Lord Shaxx to give players more opportunities to pursue Crucible rewards. In the Trials of Osiris, a handgun will have a machine gun added. In the Iron Banner, there will be a new Zone Control mode: Fortress. There will also be revised Iron Banner armor sets.
Become an Assassin
Take the plunge when Destiny 2, in collaboration with Ubisoft, releases new Assassin-designed ornaments for each class and brand new items. Those who want to explore the system in stealth style can take inspiration from the looks of Eivor (Titan), Cassandra (Hunter) and Altaïr (Warlock) in Destiny 2. In addition to the armor ornaments, keepers also get a new Spirit shell, a Sparrow, a ship, and the finisher "Up Your Sleeve."
There will also be Destiny 2 cosmetics for Eivor in Ubisoft's latest release. Players will be able to use a greatsword inspired by the legendary Gjallarhorn launcher.
Celebrations galore
Starting today and running through the launch of Lightfall on February 28, 2023, Keepers can complete Triumph Moments challenges to celebrate Year 5 in Destiny 2. Players can unlock the Triumph Moments shirt for purchase in Bungie Rewards with the completion of the seal.
The dawn is back on Tuesday, December 13, when Eva Levante returns to the Tower to celebrate the holidays with guardians and bake delicious treats made from questionable ingredients. This year, there's a new impulse gun, a title, new recipes and more. Between now and January 2, players must collect ingredients, bake delicious treats, and distribute them to characters throughout the system while updating their event card to receive festive cosmetics as a result.
