Call of Duty: Warzone

04/14/2023 - Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is freshly launched. In addition to new multiplayer maps, the launch of Violent Resurgence, the return of Plunder and Gunfight, there is also the debut of well-known rivals to start the season.

Musician and songwriter Elif has lent her voice again to Valeria Garza, who is in a hot battle with Alejandro Vargas this season. Also, the Battle Pass expansion BlackCell has been introduced.

What's New in MWII.

  • Gunfight is back with four maps, including the new Warzone 2.0 Gulag Blacksite and fan favorite Shipment.
  • Three 6-versus-6 maps, two battlefield locations: Travel to Spain for the new map Pelayo's Lighthouse, delve into the darkness with the night map Black Gold, and stay tuned for another Core Map to be unveiled later this season. Also: two new battlefield locations for Ground War and Invasion.
  • New Special Operations: Later this season, survive waves of enemy reinforcements in the Defender: Hafid Port special mission; then prepare for a new raid episode.

What's new in Warzone 2.0?

  • Massive Resurgence has launched: At launch, up to 150 players:inside Al Mazrah can jump into Resurgence mode.
  • Prepare for renewed looting: The team-based race for money with Resurgence is back for Season 3.
  • A host of other new features throughout the season: re-entry drones reach Al Mazrah; protect yourself with hardened plate carriers; earn perk packs throughout the season; UAV towers appear in Battle Royale; and more.
  • DMZ reaches a new level: bring and trade items with the new Barter system; accept a new contract and complete additional missions from the new REDACTED faction; tinker with your Counterbande workbench before facing two new bosses and jumping into [[REDACTED]].
  • Ranked match coming mid-season

What's the story?

Thematically, Season 3 deals with the clash between Las Almas Cartel leader Valeria Garza and her counterpart Alejandro Vargas.

What is BlackCell?

BlackCell is a new premium offering introduced with Season 3. It offers exclusive items and accelerated progress in Battle Pass. Included are over 7,000 COD Points and includes, among other things, access to the BlackCell section in Battle Pass, which allows you to unlock coveted items faster, such as a BlackCell operator with animated camo skin, a special weapon blueprint, vehicle skin, finisher and 1,100 CP bonus. There are also 20 Battle Token Tier Skips (25 on PlayStation®) that can be used to directly unlock weapons in Battle Pass.
